Ryan Storgaard

Ryan has an extensive background in the software industry spanning systems engineering, development, consulting, and teaching. He loves working on exciting business and technical challenges and currently leads Microsoft Canada’s Cloud Services strategy. In this role he enjoys working with customers, partners, and Microsoft product and platform teams on business and technical strategies related to the transformational shift to Cloud Services.

Ryan has a real passion for his work and in 2008 Ryan was a recipient of the Microsoft Chairman’s Award by Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer for his work across several Online Services incubation teams. Of course, timing being everything, the award just happened to coincide exactly with Bill Gates retirement from Microsoft and he didn’t personally hand out the award anymore.

Ryan first joined Microsoft back in 2003 and spent many fantastic years working in Microsoft Canada’s Developer and Platform group helping numerous Canadian software companies, enterprise customers, and partners build products and solutions on the Microsoft platform.

Ryan loves the outdoors and would be happiest talking about Cloud Services while rock climbing or snowboarding (and tweeting!).
